Kettle color
« on: April 17, 2014, 06:20:16 AM »
Starting to waffle on the kettle color. Originally I was thinking of a copper platinum performer, but am starting to have second thoughts. Starting to think about the green or just classic black. The silver gray of the cart seem the clash with the copper. I haven't seen the green in person but am hoping to see one today.

Well. I went and looked and crimson and green. Both were ok. Wife thinks I should go look at the blue craft and barrel model.

Here is a thread from last month about that ...

Well its different. The color is growing on me and as long as it cooks good and shuts down correctly I'm in good shape. Probably aren't very many of these out there so it's "rare" right?  ;)

First thing my wife said is its purple :)

the color does seems to change with the amount of natural light. Purple to blue to somewhere in between.

More pics to come.

Did you end up getting eyes on a green? If so, any thoughts? I'm leaning toward getting that color. Thanks.

I did look at green. The color is not the old glossy hunter green. More like a muted military green.

I like it. It has grown on me. I started a new thread that will hopefully help others who want to know what this color looks like

I saw a blue OTG on a trip to Decorah, IA last year that appeared purplish in color. I'm there again this weekend and hope to see if the store I saw it in still has it..

If you ever get down to the KC area, the BBQ store in Olathe, KS had a blue OTG when I was there a couple of weeks ago.
