Pork butt question

I went to my butcher and ordered a Boston butt. When I picked it up today it had 2 bones in it. It had the wide thin bone that we are all familiar with but it also had kind of like a shank bone in it. It wasn't protruding but almost recessed. Is this possibly part of a picnic too? It is a pretty big butt at a little over 9lbs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
