flat irons and other yummy stuff.
« on: April 23, 2013, 06:36:23 PM »
got some asparagus oiled and seasoned with sea salt and garlic.  dogs and sausage. and red taters with onions, olive oil, rosemary...or was it thyme.  whatever i used it was good!  oh and the taters are in a nice enamel cast iron thrift store find.  i paid 7 bucks for it and its worth alot more than that, vintage Dru Holland cookware.  score!

flat irons!  that big one right there is seasoned just the way Daddy likes it......lots o' pepper.

look ready.

meat on.

after a few minutes everyone else joined.  getting crowded.

the taters were needing some heat, so had to come down.  being on the bottom gave them a really, really nice crust on the bottom.  soooo good.

hes not shy!

it takes a lot of energy to grill.  i had to refuel. it was spicy.... i keep wondering if this darned sausage is what made me so freaking freaking sick!!!  well it was good.

asparagus on on... things are tight in there.  this family of 7 needs a 26 incher!  i will even take one of those yucky old ones.......   8) ??? ;)

little smoke for ya....

these taters were awesome too!

ready to eat!

MEAT!, taters, sausage and dogs, yummy guacamole, and homemade mac and cheese.

and this is what the hubs comes home to after being away all week for work!

The post of a true Lady......you should be proud.
As I read this post it reminds me of how my wife does it everyday, (craziness), yet there is always a GOOD hot meal waiting for me.
