Smoked salmon
« on: August 16, 2015, 06:30:45 PM »
My wife picked up a filet from Sams Club this weekend. Decided to smoke it on the 26.

I used this recipe I found on the Weber site:
http://www.weber.com/recipes/seafood/hot-smoked-bourbon-cured-salmon-with-caper-vinaigrette

I highly recommend this recipe. I didn't give the marinade a full 12 hours like it recommended. Maybe 3-4 at best. I am looking forward to doing it again and giving it the full time.

Hahaha, wellllll....

It's like this...she bought it Friday and wanted to cook it for a cookout we were having. I vetoed it due to time.

Sunday rolled around and I realized I was probably going to lose it if I didn't cook it soon.

Made the marinade and vinaigrette for it, then had to prep the other stuff we were cooking. Time got away from me, and it wound up being grazed on while we were preparing the other stuff.

We ate it with the vinaigrette and cream cheese, it was pretty awesome.
