I love ranch seasoned pretzels but my wife can't have dairy so I thought I'd try making some that are seasoned with Old Bay instead. I got out the Old Bay, cayenne, onion flakes, olive oil and the pretzels. I then turned on the oven and a light bulb came on. Why not try to add smoke flavor to it as well? So I turned off the oven, light up a chimney of KB and started mixing ingredients. The end product turned out pretty good despite the fact that the ones closest to the fire were burnt. I tossed those and the rest were pretty good. I'm definitely going to try it again and try to do it at a lower temperature. Plus it will help if I don't get distracted and forget to check it as often. DOH!
Either way, I plan on refining the process!
