K-comp coal. Half BBQ half homemade jalapeņo honey mustard. 40 wings. Some of my best. With lid cracked it held 600 for about 45 minutes. Turned once at a half hour. Total time was 45 minutes. Both kbb and k comp are great for sustained high heat cooks.

I find I get higher temps when using KBB in the Vortex rather than RO briqs...
Each one has it's place where it shines...
