What's a good meatless meal?

Needs to go with pasta. I'm thinking of grilling some portobellos with some onions, peppers and broccoli or cauliflower. Did that more or less last Friday with shrimp and it was really good.  It needs to reheat since SWMBO won't be home 'til late.

I'm open to suggestions.

^^^^ that's at least a 10 pointer right there !!!

Maybe something like this:

Peas & carrots & onions, in gravy, over Garlic mashers (Just leave out that big lump of pot roast ) ?

does it need to re-heat from completely cold?

I could grill broccoli and carrots.  ;D

Well Buckie, the big lump of pot roast is what makes it! Plus it wold be hard to grill peas.  ???

Doesn't have to reheat from cold, just not be the kind of thing you have to serve right off the grill.

Oh, yeah... I do want someting off the grill. I guess I should have specified.  ::)

You could go southern with biscuits, jambalaya, and kettle fried okra.

Aw, C'mon Hank !!!

If I can smoke corn kernels, you can certainly grill up some peas!!!!!

This ends up being a little bit of a toughie......a lot of things don't hold all that well.....mac'n'cheese gets mushy, zukes, the same.....something in a C.I. pot may stay good for a long time......

I went with stuff that would't fall through the bars. ;) (Zucchini, broccoli, anise, onion, sprouts, red pepper carrots and portobello.)

Grilled ravioli is pretty friggin tasty too. Baste em with Italian and grill em over medium heat.

Sounds interesting. That's Italian dressing? (Ravioli acquired. I'll grill them with some peppers, zucchini onion and maybe some anise.)

Any cooking oil would work. I serve these as appetizers with pesto dipping sauce. Be sure to keep a good eye on em tho. They can get away from you fast.
