That looks pretty good to me! Cornbread is something I have loved since I was a kid......unfortunately it was always dry and crumbled all over the place....I never knew there was any other kind until I started grilling. :) I started looking for recipes for sweet , moist cornbread and have found many different ones but this is one of my favorites. This is a recipe my wife found somewhere. I REALLY love the cornbread recipe from BBQPITBOYS, and think it's the best cornbread ever....but not everybody in the family likes the bacon in it...this is my other favorite...and it's a little more traditional.

I'll have to give the bacon option a try. The lodge version has mayonnaise in it which turns some people off, I think it's what makes it. I don't use solid shortening, just regular vegetable oil. I want to try a Mexican version soon with creamed corn and peppers but the wife and daughter aren't a fan of that idea. Might have to make 2  ;D

Looking forward to more

I've used an 8" and a 9" pan both work great. I think the traditional lodge version is 9" for the small one. I'll look when home

Mine's a 10" pan.  I have a couple 12" ones an 8" , 2 dutch ovens and a pizza pan. I LOVE cast iron and should also be getting an endorsment from Lodge since I have so much of their stuff! ::) No these are new pics from last night.....I make cornbread often....going to make some beerbread and an orange cake this week sometime too....probably before the weekend.
