I Don't Like Sauce, but The Family Does

I'm cooking a butt tomorrow and although I don't like sauce, the family does.

They usually dig something out from the back of the fridge and I would like to at least give them something quality to try.

So two questions:

What grocery store bought sauce do you recommend?

What home made sauce do you like best.

They are fans of sweet, tomato based sauces, but I'm willing to expand their horizons.

People might ridicule me for saying this, but if I use a grocery store BBQ sauce, I always buy original Bullseye BBQ sauce. I feel like it has the perfect sweetness and tang...

Duke

I like Kraft original or honey and cut it with cider vinegar. I like Bullseye original too Gunner.

My girls love bbq sauce, depends on how the mood hits me. When I want something on the sweet end I like Sticky Fingers Carolina Sweet, on the other end I really like the Rub Some Butt Carolina style sauce.

The Costco Special Bold KC Masterpiece is pretty good and uses real sugar instead of HFCS.

Any of the weber brand ones are actually pretty good for store bought.
Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

store bought...Sweet Baby Ray's hands down.  I used to be a Bulls Eye guy, but I like Baby Ray better.
Another one I enjoy a lot is Big Butz BBQ Sauce.  Its made in NW Wisconsin in a town called Siren.  The one I get has Cranberry in it.  Its similar to Baby Ray in that its tangy and sweet, but it also has a hint of smoke. Its amazing.

Yes, they are! Tried a couple of the flavours, and they're excellent.

I have also made this one from the amazing ribs site ... I like it a lot:

Sweet baby rays is good. I have some Saltlick brand. Original flavor. Very good! A tad vinegary but not to Carolina standards. A little sweet. Very very good IMO.

Well I was at the store right after Duke's post so I bought some Kraft original.

It was on sale for $1.39 so I figured I could toss it if it didn't turn out.

Cut it with Apple Cider Vinegar and it was awesome.

My pork didn't turn out as well as I had hoped so I even tried some and It helped a lot.

Note to self, pork that had been in the freezer for 6 months with not enough smoke and not enough rub doesn't make for perfect pork.

Still pretty tasty, just not my best work.

I'll give the others a try and see how they compare.
