If you love venison then you'll love Moose it has a slight gaminess to it , this was a cow she was about 800 lbs , very good eating animal . I personally am not a huge venison fan so I marinate or season heavily to mask some of that , but that's just me .

I love moose. I find it less gamey in my experience compared to deer meat.

800 lbs of moose. How much finished meat did you get? That meat looks great.

My aunt shot an 800 moose and had a hard time getting rid of the meat. This was 20 years ago.

I wish. I had some moose meat a couple years ago and I was like the 4th person away from the kill and ended up with 15lbs or so.

You get about half, in this case I got about 375 lbs of meat , roasts, steaks and smokies , I also had some trim and made about 40 lbs of jerky out of it . This was the last of the moose , just making room in the freezers .
