So is it off kilter a bit? Without my casters the table would resemble more of a boat ramp... If they were added, adjustments to the leg height would have to be made.

I checked level and it's spot on. There are plastic inserts in the legs so mine must be pre-caster model............Chit. I wanted casters. And NO I'm not carving the legs up.

Maybe a mod?

The legs would have to be shortened to allow for the additional caster height. I'd fark it up........

I have the 8" wheels. I'm going to Menards and see if I can find some tubing that will fit inside the axles sides. I can insert the extensions, re-drill for the axle and then add the casters. Two thing come form this. The grill will be higher, which I like and I get casters...........Win WIN

I have two '98 SS Performers and both have casters (and sit level)
You can get the caster in a twin pack at Home Depot for like 5 bucks.
If you have 8" wheels and it sits level, something weird is going on.
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

It sits level. Like I said it has plastic end caps were the casters would go. This must be the way I got it in the box.

Doesn't make sense.  Don't understand how we each have '98 Performers w/ 8" wheels and both sit level --- only mine has casters.
I just went and measured mine.  At the 8" wheel end and the caster end, it's 29 5/8" high from the deck to the top of the frame.
What does yours measure?

Axle side. From bottom of leg to deck is 26" with the axle hole center 1" from the bottom. Other side, yup, 29 5/8"

The ss performer without gas assist did not come with casters so those frame parts to let it sit level exist.

Axle side - bottom of leg (no plastic insert) to bottom of deck frame = 25.25"  (26.5" to top of frame)  Overall, 29 5/8" high

Caster side - bottom of leg (w/ plastic insert) to bottom of deck frame = 26"   (27.25" to top of frame)  Overall, 29 5/8" high

If you're caster side is 29 5/8" high without any casters, low long are those legs?  28.25" plus the 1.25" frame for the top?

EDIT - Gummi just cleared the air.
