Straightening Wood Dale handle

Never had to deal with a metal lid handle before. What is best/safest way to straighten? Heat it up? Wood block?

Heat with firm and steady pressure has worked for me.

Thanks. I'm assuming I build a fire and heat it up or are you talking torch?

I would use a torch right at the attaching points. And work slowly

OK thanks I'll give it a try. I'm probably being too anal about this but should I heat from under lid ot right at attach points?
