Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Hear, hear! Thank G-d for those who sacrificed their lives for us.
I put my flag up a few hours ago and I'll be using my '74-'75 grill that Avega2792 gave to me, to cook some Wahlbergers and 15-20 count shrimp!

Well said…. As we were grilling, enjoying a reverent holiday and my neighbor - a retired Air Force colonel began mowing his huge front lawn on his new John Deere mower.  Enduring the drone and clippings dust… Can’t believe this guy….

Apologies, couple beers in and I realize that he’s free to do that as am I thanks to the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have made this possible.  I hope everyone enjoys and appreciates this freedom we have today and every day.  Grill on Weber family!

To all those who served, their families, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for us to remain free.

My grand uncle Ralph (my dad’s namesake) was in the Army and was badly wounded in the Normandy D day invasion.   He passed in surgery to address his combat wounds about a year later back home in Chicago.   He had just turned 21, barely old enough to buy a beer.  He was just the 2nd Militello born in America.  Ralph would be 100 this October.    His older brother, James (my grandfather and my son’s namesake) also served in WWII in a tank battalion.

Uncle Ralph’s father, Charles ( my great grandfather) immigrated from Sicily in 1914 and also served in WWI despite only being a citizen for 3 years.   🇺[emoji1218]🇹

I am always proud to see how much these men loved their country.

You should be deservedly proud of your families service and sacrifice for the country they loved. Hopefully everyone remembered someone on Monday they knew or are related to that served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. May they all not be forgotten.

Thank you for sharing these meaningful stories Michael.   You should indeed be very proud of their service and sacrifices.  Kellee’s grandparents also came here from Sicily in the early 1900s… She’s a Lanza with a very large family - like 64 first cousins alone.  Also interestingly, both my dad and brother’s names are Ralph.
