Father’s Day 2022, what’s going on the grill ?

I can't wait to cook this year. It's been a rough few years for everyone. I can't wait to hang out with my wife and kids and cook a good meal. My best friend might be here, sadly he lost his wife in January.

I have a $60 prime rib roast from the freezer that was 9.99 a pound. I can't imagine what it cost today. It was supposed to be for Christmas but the crowd didn't turn out. I know it's a sin to freeze a beautiful four bone prime rib but it happens.

Yes, Yes, that was last year. After staring at it three days thawing, I decided to slice it then grill it. Wow!  This year it's gonna be six Filet Mignon, and a three lb cowboy cut ribeye. Maybe it's just me, I think I'm happier grilling these with a couple IPA's and seeing my family smile than actually eating them. Happy Father's Day to all.

I'm with you! I enjoy the cook way more than eating it. I've spent hours cooking ribs and never tasted them. I hope I can do a good job this time.

Whole chicken is something special.

I love how you can change up the seasoning and make it any flavor from around the world.

Put a nice brisket on at 7:30pm last night. Just took a peak and looking to need just another hour or two. Then into a cooler for a rest until dinner

Nothing on a kettle today.  I'm going to my brothers and we'll cook on his BGE.   I did find my dad a NOS, new in box Genesis rotisserie and got my brother a kick ash basket lookalike for his egg, so it's a grill themed day!
