Brisbane Australia kettle meetup.
« on: January 21, 2022, 03:12:22 AM »
Late night drop off from halfway round Australia getting ready for me to host my first kettle meetup tomorrow.

Starting off small for my first one with about 15ppl.

Hoping to do a larger public meet in a local park further down the track.

Feel pretty special that I have 2 westerners in my house haha.
Also stoked to learn that mine is a round top Westerner. (Right kettle in last pic) so a 1965-67.

Cant wait for tomorrow, should be about 30-35 mlh, mbh and vintage grills.
Gonna be an awesome day.

Very friendly people!!!

A few years ago I remember seeing a similar one in Queensland and from a guy with the same last name. Great to see some traction in this space and the Western Australian people will need to look at one shortly as now we are virtually another country with hard borders remaining. Looking forward to the pics, Enjoy

Not a huge turnout of grill fellas but an amazing turnout of extremely rare grills, esp all the way over here in Australia.

Was 41 grills in total.
Few guys cooked.
I did a brisket.
Pork ribs were cooked.
Lots of deep fried wings and spring rolls in the kettle wok!!

Cant wait to organise the next one!!
