I use 3x3 chunks, I previously bought chunks anywhere and would use 6 to 8 chunks to achieve desired amount of smoke for say a 12 hour low and slow. I now only use 3 or 4 of this brand and get better smoke too.

You're just saying you learned to use a better quality wood to get a better result with less?
