Anyone fix a broken Weber Chill?

I scored a free Chill the other day. After plugging it, nothing happens. I changed the dial underneath, to a different setting. No dice. Any suggestions? Has anyone had any success fixing a broken one? I'm half tempted to take it to a repair shop, but wanted to check her first.

@Mr.CPHo had his worked on or at least checked out before being put into service, I was lucky, mine has been running for 4 years

Yes, I had a knowledgeable AC repairman fix my Chill after it stopped working.  I recall he said he replaced the thermostat.  I can dig up his contact information if you’d like.
