How are you cooking the morels? From the picture it looks sort of like deep frying.

Didn't have many , used the electric skillet with vegetable oil
Found more ticks than shrooms !

Hey, I don't think we have them around here, but every time I read about people plucking morels, there's ticks metioned?

Never fried them. Find a few in the yard now and then and savor them. I have a few logs at the end of their cycle that produce Shitake. They grow to the size of Portabella.

I don't think ticks like morels , but morels grow in the thickest part of the timber where ticks like to hang out  ;)
