Me and my neighborhood buds often get accused of being the epicenter of Charlotte's IPA scene (drinking, not brewing). In the last week, our brews of choice have been:
Pliney Blind Pig
3 Floyds Zombie Dust (3 days old)
The Alchemist Skadoosh & Heady Topper
A couple Surley's
Westbrook Citrus Redacted
Brew Gentlemen's General Braddock
.... and now I'm having NC's very best single IPA - Burial Hawkbill
(There's a ham on the grill back there somewhere)
... but this is a post about another "food".

For you guys that enjoy a fine brew, what are your favorites?  Secret Santa is coming up and this might be a good thread for ideas.

Its hard to go wrong with anything  3 Floyds - love some Zombie Dust and Gumbballhead. I also enjoy Bells, Founders, and Lagunitas. Never tried Alchemist or pliny the elder, but really want to.

Agreed @julweidn. Pliney The Elder gets the nod on most "rankings" but a lot of the true IPA guys I know (self included) prefer the Pig.

Had a Laganitus Born Yesterday on Monday.  Love this fresh-hopped beers!

Ive never had a beer from Russian River - definitely on my list. I dont think you can get it in Indiana.

Had 2015 Dark Lord last year, it was incredible. Im usually not a fan of that style.

RR is only available in CA, OR, CO and (oddly) PA. Hard to find even in those states.

Zombie Dust is Amazballs. I love me some Red Oak but I live in Indiana and it's cold only so hard to get much here when I come back from my visits to family in NC.

@frugalQ next trip to NC, getcha some:
Burial
Heist
Lynnwood Brewing Concern
Sycamore
NoDa

In that order. Last 2 avail everywhere.

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

@noreaster I'm jealous. Have never had the Sunshine but high on my list.

Hey, long time Beer Advocate member and IPA fan here.

@Robs2...Even better than Sip of Sunshine is Double Sunshine. Lawson's makes great stuff! However, sounds like you're drinking some primo beers already!

As for Russian River...I'm not really a fan of Blind Pig. I mean...it's ok, but every time I go to RR, I always grab a pint or two of Row 2 Hill 56 (I enjoy it more than a Pliny).

Currently enjoying the Sierra Nevada Fresh Hop 12 pack this weekend. Highly recommend it.

Cheers!

@mike - noted... expect the double to be primo and will place it above the Sip on my list!

Was in Temecula a few weeks ago and had a Row 2 Hill 56 for the first time ( love the simplicity of the story behind the name).  Great beer. But I prefer the !

Today, I went to a recently opened Brewery here in Charlotte opened by Chris Tropeano - former Russian River brewer- and it was really good. Looking forward to seeing him develop. Definitely not perfect yet but I believe he has the foundation for what could become great.... the scene is amazing.

Some really great east coast stuff here in NC that is as good as anything I've had. Have several CA beers I'm interested in. Would love to get into some trades!

Love a good IPA. Surly Furious and Lagunitas Maximus are my go-tos, but I love Bell's Hopslam when I can get it.
