I did another batch of wings and they turned out much better this time! Just seasoned with Trader Joe's seasoned salt. I didn't have time to set the wings in the fridge this time and just threw them on the grill with the baskets in the middle. I checked after 30 minutes and they were at 175 IT but the skin wasn't quite crisp yet. I let them go for another 10 minutes and that was good enough as I could see they had shrunken a bit. I liked them and the wife approved! Could have used a lot more seasoning, but now that I got the method down I expect wings to be on the menu a lot more!

I also threw on mushrooms as an after thought and we had frozen pizza in the oven. Not bad for an impromptu meal!

This is an easy and great way to cook them. I don't need chicken skin to be crispy unless it's fried and to me these look great.

You can also buy them frozen as already-separated sections, and put them on frozen and "naked" (without seasoning, do that after about 30 mins with some custom sauce) and they still turn out fine ... and without all the cutting up that fresh wings usually require beforehand.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Thanks! I bought a big batch of wings and had to freeze most of it. Good to know they can be thrown on frozen!
