Drawing inspiration from Troy's Filipino BBQ Chicken blog post I decided to drag out a couple of grills for a cook today. The Glen Blue was on sidekick duty for the fruit and vegetables while the Blue was fitted with the rotisserie ring to tackle the chicken. Both grills are wearing new ash pans and running a HC internal ash pan setup to aid with cleanup. Weather was gorgeous (for a change!) and the temperature was just right to hang out in the backyard for a lazy day.

For the chicken I used some of the Weber Kickin' Chicken' Seasoning and then stuffed the cavity with some cut up apples and bay leaves. This adds a bit of moisture but also provides more bite for the rotisserie forks. There was also a sweet onion roasting away on the grate below for a little extra flavor and aroma.  Once the chicken had finished up it was taken inside for a quick rest while I grilled the pineapple and finished up the corn. In the end it was all thrown onto a butter and cheese bun with a bit of teriyaki sauce - oh man did it hit the spot. I also grilled up some corn with some roasted garlic seasoning and butter. It may have been the best corn I've ever had. So easy and so delicious.

Hope you guy's enjoy!

Take care,

Matt

Holy smokes. Looks perfect. And I like how you mentioned that you had to "drag out" those old kettles.

Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.
