Tips like using a pile of money to start the fir....
Oh, wait.  You don't have any more of that.

Or like my wife says,
"You bought a new grill?
Now what are you gonna use to buy the meat?"

@SixZeroFour @ramsfan are a couple of summit owners. Have you guys started modding or identifying tips?

I haven't taken the plunge yet, waiting for them to make it in Red.

Mods? Yes, the $80.00 cover. I did make an elevated grate (18") and I may put a paper towel roller on mine.

I've always wanted to do one of those 'box of shop towels' dispenser mods

Pay me no mind, I'm just a wee bit jealous.

Best thing about spending that much on a charcoal
grill is that it's NOT an effin' EGG.
(Still jealous though) :o

Bet you'll never develop a crack in a Summit!

Nothing major in terms of mods but here is my setup:

I've added a second tool hook, the "Grill Out Handle Light", My trusty old chain and Weber bottle opener (from the pearl! 8) ) and the Thermoworks Smoke.

Also got rid of the not so robust regulator and plumbed it to a 5lb tank that rides along on the triangle. Some might recognize this same fix from Weber Q-Series grills running a full sized tank... works like a charm.

I would also like to nominate the Weber Charcoal Rake and Napoleon Stainless Steel Grid Scraper as two MUST HAVE accessories to go along with the SCG. Each is worth its weight in gold.

"Why do you have so many bbq's?"....."I just like lookin' at em' sometimes....and I have enough purses and shoes"

Craycorts...

If that counts as a mod.

I've added an extra tool rack and Performer timer. Converted to full size propane tank and CI grates.

I've had one of Jason's lollipops. They are the bomb.

Wait a minute, @JordanW brought a Performer to the meet-up, but not the Summit!

Dude, relax your chicken.

JordanW

@dazzo  I had to load up by myself. The Performer was all I could handle... Next year! Or better yet, next time!
