Looks like it was meant for that lid!   Grate job!!  Hope its accurate....
Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

Thanks!  This was right before sauce.

I've been monitoring the difference between grate temp and lid thermometer. Early on the lid was around 30 degrees hotter. The last couple of hours the temps have been very close.

I cut the rib tip meat off the ribs before smoking and had the tips on the lower rack

I noticed that also on my kettle with the lid thermometer. Later in the cook it nearly matches what the Maverick says. What sauce did you use there?

I used montgomery inn on one rack and sweet baby ray on the other.  Montgomery Inn is awesome if you haven't tried it.  Very unique flavor.

I will give that a try. Used to use Sweet Baby Ray's until we tried the Weber honey BBQ. Weber sauce blows Ray's away IMO.

Personally I could do without sweet baby ray's but the wife loves it.  Have you tried Weber's Sweet and spicy sauce?  It's incredible as well.

I'd love to but if it's spicy the wife can't do it. I'd have to make a rack just for me.....hmmm....

it is a little spicy.  I'm in the same boat. I have to make stuff separate for the wife if I want anything spicy.
