Got a little Dual Vortex Action going on today.  Gonna do some dogs once the chicken comes off.

Geezer

I did Vortex wings today, too.  Best wings ever!  I also did a blackberry cobbler on the grill after the wings.  No, I didn't take any pictures.

That's a TON of wings! Looks good. Do you sauce before taking them off or just eat them plain grilled?

Looking for: Red MBH 26"(The Aristocrat), Chestnut-coppertone (The Estate), Glen-blue (The Imperial), and The Plainsman.

I sauce the last few minutes...just long enough for the sauce to set and not affect the crisp skin

I have the Mini Vortex for my Jumbo Joe, I still haven't used it yet! I guess I need to work on that real soon.  I also have the Fire Butler and with the sear plate in place you get the same effect as the Vortex. Have to do a side by side like yours to see which one works better at cooking wings.
LET THE FIRE DO THE WORK! 22 OTG Frankenstein, Jumbo Joe, Weber 26.75 Kettle,Weber Char Q,Weber Baby Blue Q 100, Kamado Joe Jr, Cobb Grill-Both sizes, Southwest Disk Cowboy Wok!

Quick questions .. what are your vent positions when cooking wings with the Vortex? I have one, but can't seem to dial in the correct vent positions for both top & bottom.  Thanks!

I used mine yesterday for the first time.  Best wings I've ever eaten.  I cooked them naked as kids like them plain, I added mine to sauce once I took them off the grill.  Sorry no pics, we were hungry.  The Virtex is worth every penny I spent and I've onlynused it once.
