THROUGH THE MUD BBQ TEAM

Well we just got back from the competition late last night.

All went extremely well! With the quality of competition we had the goal of 1 top 10 in any category.  We nearly had 3!

8th place Chicken. We are very proud of this finish as we were up against some of the best teams in the country.

12th place Ribs

12th place Pork

After handing in our first 3 categories we were getting very excited as all was going absolutely to plan.

Then we pulled our Brisket out. Not good. We did what we could to make it look nice, but knew it would not place well.

So that dropped us out of the top 10 overall.

16th place overall out of 34 teams!

Not too bad for our 2nd competition ever!

Thanks!

Unfortunately those events are just a little too far.

Our next event will be Porkapalooza in Edmonton, Alberta.  That's on the June 18th weekend.  Should be around 45 teams there!

Great job, guys ! ! !  You are giving me hope for my team.  We've been competing for a while now and have not had your success.

I'd be curious to find out what you guy are using for rubs, sauces, etc.
