Farthest I've driven yet was approx. 480 round trip for my mid 60's thumbscrew Coppertone Mist and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I LOVE a good road trip especially when there's a Weber at the other end.
drink a little drink, smoke a little smoke    8)
It's not just a grill, it's a WEBER

The farthest I have driven to date is about 100 miles one way to score a C code 18.5" WSM. I also drove about 90 miles one way to score an E code 14.5" WSM.
I've got Webers. 10 - WSMs, 5 - 22.5" kettles, 2 - 18.5" kettle, 2 - SJS, 2 - SJP, 4 - WGA, 1 vintage Coolie Pan

Congrats on the ranch. Any trip is worth that kind of reward.

I love to be on the road actually, so the drive never really bothers me. I used to drive to five hours to Vegas for work regularly. Farthest I've gone so far was 2 hrs down to Tucson for my first Weber kettle, a black SS Performer.

Speaking from recent experience, I'd do one or two smaller practice cooks on it to get used to how it works.    Even just dinner for 2 or 3.

I recently drove 2 hours each way for an excellent condition Performer, nothing exotic but just what I was looking for.

Last month I drove from CT to Indianapolis to buy a grill outside Akron.  :o

I always like to check all locations between where I'm at and where I'm going when taking a trip, that way I can stop on the way.

My two redheads were about two hours from me, but an hour from my in laws. Planned a trip to the in laws and picked up some kettles on the way.

For a something really rare...I'm not sure there is a limit...

Please tell me that there is some easy way to do this!!  Something other than cross referencing CL against a map to try and figure things out.

Ha, Ditto this ^^

Except I don't know if that trip time counts when you're in TX (isn't it like 2 hrs+ between most cities)

For me there are a lot of factors involved. But for something I really wanted and could not get it elsewhere, I would travel pretty far.

I bought two grills from CL first a performer about 35 miles each way the other a WSM 100 miles each way both where like brand new and great people to do business with.
would do it again in a minute.
