First cook on the Performer
« on: December 13, 2015, 04:15:32 PM »
I scored this plum Performer off of Craigslist the other day and had the first cook tonight: burgers with a Vortex.  The patties were a mix of beef and venison with Dijon mustard and oregano topped with Munster cheese on a wheat bun.  I put a sear on both sides over the Vortex and then indirect with some hickory and mesquite smoke.  While I was getting the charcoal started I did a little decorating for the holidays.

Nice, love the lights!

I saw this grill pop up on my CL, about 4 1/2 hours from me, almost made the drive... Glad it went to member!

That's beautiful! I like those lights, and I love that Performer.

I'd also like one of those Daisy/Bambi burgers to go.

For the record it was Bambi's mom  ;)

Well, you sure got that grill off to a good start!  Great meal and nice use of the vortex.

Love Weiss bier but have never tried Huber - will be on the lookout for it.  Cheers!

Nice looking Performer.  Really like the Plum color and the added touch with the lights is really cool.  I like your light idea so might have to look for some blue lights for my Performer.
Platinum Performer Kettle (In Blue), OTG (In Blue)
Genesis Gasser (In Blue), Smokey Joe (Uline Lime)
Looking to buy (18.5 blue or brownie and blue lantern)

@Winz   Weiss bier is one of my favorites too.  The Huber was a part of my excellent Costco Beer Advent Calendar.  Sadly I am down to the last few  :(
