Those wheels look to be original. Some of the 6" early all plastic wheels are SUPER tight to pull off since they seem to have a slightly smaller diameter hub when compared to the older half rubber-plastic wheels. Must have been an issue with the 8" plastic rim wheels too?

Do they roll freely?

Yeah they do move freely, just was not easy to get off and I didn't want to force the issue.

still looks rusty but the hard rust is off, just needs a little oil and the grate will be fine.

What kind of oil do you intend to use? Is there something that stays on "OK" (doesn't go crazy rancid) for seldom-used grates, assuming this doesn't become your daily grill? Thx.

I'm still trying to clear an area in the basement for some of mine; being outside in the humidity can't help them.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

just canola spay oil, the way I do it is basically do a low and slow and apply oil on every half hour, it seems to work really good, I did with the the ranch that I had last year that had an awful grate on it.

I have certainly got fair share of interest in this grill and honestly my initial thought was to pass it along to someone else and score a really nice 22 but throughout the day this kettle as grown on me, I am going to fix it up and make it mine for a while.

@MrHoss has told me that this is 1 of 15 known Red 26 Aristocrats.

Do not sell it!  Keep it and love it and tell the story to your grandchildren (but if you do decide to sell it you know who will love it best...).

...those spin marks are making me dizzy!  Srsly Jeff, congrats.  Couldn't happen to a nicer person.

Too bad there is no more room on your patio. :(

Judging from your pics of this grill indoors I think I'm right. What does the wife think of this one? lol

I would keep it at least through the summer and get a feel for it. The 26" size is really nice. How do you like cooking on daisy wheels?

There's more than this from the top of my head. There's been three scored this month alone. Someone should keep track of them on a separate thread. I nominate @Troy
