Some will never get it, you can only feel sorry for them and let them be.

Maybe that's where I am going wrong for I keep trying to enlighten them.

Don't, just have pity on them and go about your day.  :)

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

So I'm telling the wife last night about L.B. scoring this Aristocrat....I was a little exited for the man. I tell her some of the details that were shared with me via PM. She looks at me and says we, "need a Weber theme song to play while hunting down JUNK"!!!! I point out these gems are far from junk but the theme song idea is a splendid one....that I would bring it up with, "the boys"!!!

I left the room but was told this morning that my wife's 19 yr old daughter made one up after I left the room...."It's a Weber Kettle.......doo doo doo doo.......it's a bbq.....doo doo doo doo......and we don't care".

Needs a little work and the snotty ending needs to be changed but it's a start.

@MrHoss, I bet they'd have a "change of tune" if you got rid of them all and stopped cooking them delicious food! ... btw this is for your wife...  ;D ;D ;) ;) ;) ;D ;D

Ok. That is flippin' hilarious!!! For those not familiar with my wife....she has found ways recently of introducing her attitude via the bird into a few of my food shots. She also has hundreds of tea cup/saucer combos around the house and complaining about my bbq's is a bit of a pastime for the lovely woman. So that shot right there makes me howl. Not too much I can do about my situation but laugh...and that shot is taking it to a whole new level!!! Hah hah haaaa haaa...........

Beautiful grill.  Congrats!   Do the leg legs of your grill firmly stay in the leg sockets?  I've had a bit of a problem with the 26" Patent Pendings in the past.

Legs are very loose, still trying to figure out what to do, I was told Alum foil helps, not sure I want to drill into the leg sockets and secure it that way.

Flare them slightly with a suitable sized broomstick, etc.
somebody said a certain size socket (socket wrench, socket) would do the trick.......just tap in gently & then grip with pliers & wiggle a little to get it out......
Should 'puff' up the diameter just enough to make them fit tight & be stable.....

very quick cleanup today, ashpan still needs an over haul.

pics
still looks rusty but the hard rust is off, just needs a little oil and the grate will be fine.

Not perfect but it cleaned up nicely

Lid could use another washing but it is pretty clean

Wheels Matt thinks these look like what are on another 26 out there.

@Craig - These look like they might be original wheels, no? Just looks like the pin-stripe has worn off??

@LightningBoldtz are those wheels pressed on?

I have the caps off the wheels right now but RE pressed on, I am not sure, I do know I could not get them off.
