Nice 'n' juicy, Jammamto !!!!      Good Show !!!!

OK......shoulda had those peanut butter & jelly 'Turds all ready.....thought it was going to be a high falutin' 'professional' game of footie.....but alas.......goofiness inside the two minute warning..... :o 8) :o 8) >:( :D :D

Well, a little bit of stuff got cooked anyway....

Scrubbed out some kettles & did an all 18" cookup.......

Tried out the empty corner basket burn across method here....

Started off with some shorties & let them go for quite some time.........

Right at 260.....

But the coals burned all along the bottom of the basket & the heat went up a little higher up than needed....
........actually had to noodle the vents a little on this cook.... :o

Levelled out eventually.....

& then fired up the "C" Code Blackie double SCREW handle for a small batch of 'Turds....

Think I'll call em "The Dactyl"

Some chicken strips & strawberries in these....

Then finally got the "E" Code into the act doing some JVille's Paddy O'Garlics w/ bacon wrap.....

Cooked the fattest ones 'till they fell off the bone.....

"Buckie you will be happy to know this was to feed two of us haha'

Across......the wife ate one hotdog.......me & the dawgs are in fine shape!!!

grate Lookin' Cookup...all the way thru !!!

Nice stuff there Stu....and everybody else too !!!!

Man, so many great cooks! Here's mine, sorry I didn't get it up yesterday, but by the time I was finished it was too close to game time to post.
First time I've had to do a two kettle cook, and first time using the two tone. The one in the back got the ribs, two-toned got the brats and wings.

Ribs almost done

Brats go on for a little bit on smoke, with an onion and beer bath over the flames

After about 30 mins. in the smoke

Kissed by the fire, and into the bath

Wings go on indirect for about 30 mins.

Then over to the fire to crisp up the skin

The final spread. Chipolte humus dip, and in the crock pot a buffalo chicken dip. In the middle a koosie to represent our team.

Thanks for looking and great cooks everyone!

Nice spread there, man !!!

I thought the 'brats in a bath' was a Wisconsinite thing ?   :D 8)

Hi All,

We got 20" of snow here near Chicago over the weekend so what better to do than...grill !!

A few fellow grill geeks and I whipped up food for about 15-20 friends and neighbors yesterday for the big game. Our beloved Bears didn't quite get there!! Did biscuits and gravy in a CI skillet on the regular kettle. Started a 17lb turkey on the roti/SS setup but couldn't keep it balanced so took the roti off and finished it on the SS. 2 separate 22" WSM's for brisket. One injected and rubbed over drip beans and one just dry rubbed. Different woods in each. Neighbors brought sides and apps. It was a great day. All the food was awesome! Good beer/booze and some cigars.

Enjoy the pics and thanks for looking

Hey 1buckie,

This brisket was prepared by one of my buddies who just got a WSM. I think this was his 3rd or 4th cook on it He has a kettle that has seen a lot of cooks and he is great around charcoal. About 8lbs as I recall. Injected with beef broth. Mustard base then rubbed but I cant remember all of the ingredients. I will ask him for the details. He had drip beans under it as well. He foiled at 155 or 160 and put it back on until 190 internal. Short rest.  Regular apple juice and beer mopping with a few other ingredients. It tasted great. Don't recall the total time.  Even with 3 cooks we had a lot going on!

Thanks for the kind words. It was fun.
