26 in rotisserie chickens
« on: July 13, 2014, 05:45:35 PM »
I had finally picked up the 26 CB roti ring not long ago and had a chance to get it dirty.

Two birds brined in JD and honey.

Ready to go

Very good temp control. The fit of the CB ring is great.

Chugging along - used two chunks of persimmon.

Turned out really good

I hope this is a prelude to a suckling pig not too far in the distance future😎

Good looking bids....thanks for posting BBQ.  I have been looking at the CB roti for the 26 for a while.  Id prefer just a stacker ring but this is the only option available from CB.  Any thoughts on the product itself?  Did you buy the roti kit or just the ring?  Does the lid still fit in the lid bale with the ring on your kettle?

I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually come out with a stacker for the 26". But a 26" roti is super tempting. Looks great!!

I asked Chris at CB about a 26" stacker.....not available and no plans in the works...:(  I really like the CB products and Chris is always fast to respond.

I just bought the ring. I have a good motor (avery Gleason), and I wanted a little beefier spit rod (1/2 in SS). The spit rod was purchased from http://www.4thegrill.com/index.php? . I don't think the lid will fit the bale with the ring in place. The fit is superb. Temp control was a breeze.

Thanks Buckie - I really enjoy your cooks as well. I am planning to try a small suckling pig on the 26 roti soon. I found a local butcher that can get them.
