I thought it would be fun to pit (pun intended) 2 unique cookers and see which one you would choose. In today's installment we have Jeff's Blue flattop 26'r:

vs.

Mike Lang's (anotherpintplease) blue WSM from Anotherpintplease.com

In theory both cookers would be about the same cost. The 18.5 has multiple cooking surfaces for low and slow, but the 26.75 kettle has the large diameter cooking grate to really lay out your food. So which one is it gonna be? I will vote once we have a few members chiming in.  8)

Glad there's a Blue WSM out there for the fans & it looks really nice, but c'mon.....a flathead 26.......that's like a rare Packard or something, plus the room inside.....

    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!

That's a hard decision... But I'll vote WSM

Oh yeah, I would have to go with the WSM.  I've have always wanted a WSM, but a blue one that appears to
be a pretty rare item in it's own right..

If the question was posed as they were both on cl but I could only go get one.... I would miss out on both sitting there tearing out what is left of my hair trying to make a decision. After really sitting down a weighing it out.... still cant make a decision. It is just so tough to think which is more unique.  With my current line up of weber cookers I would go with the wsm cause I don't own any and I currently have a 26er although it is not a flat top. All and all to hard of a question to really answer.
Looking for--- a yellow mbh any size, sequoia ( I know I am dreaming), avocado any size, brownie any size.

Cool post!  Does the blue 26 get any extra points for ease of use being the bowl is new enough to have a One Touch system?

Sure, but to some people the OT is a drawback.  ;)

Would you trade, Jeff?

After much deliberation, I think i would have to go with the 26".  I asked myself which one would Weber make available to the public and I sort of feel we'd see a fruit WSM before a flattop 26er of any color.  That said, I would want both.

I'm in for the WSM in blue in any size but 18 would be great.

I would go with the Blue Flat top 26er. I have coveted that grill since the first time I laid eyes on it.  :) If Jeff ever decided to sell it I would remortgage my house if I had to.  ;)

This is a tough one but I'm just imagining how cool I would feel cooking for my buddies on the 26 flat top.  Gotta go for that one.
