Damn, if they can make red Q, then why can't they make red kettles?

Saw a red Weber Q at the local Ace. They are pretty cool looking.

"The red porcelain in the bright red kettles had cadmium in it to get the bright red pigment. It's too costly to dispose of and bad for the environment. So we did not renew our contract with the company that handled the cadmium disposal"  -MY former Weber rep about 13 years ago when I managed at THD.

Set them side-by-side and it ain't even close.
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

I'm quite happy with my brick red performer.

That's all that matters, I think brick's alright, but prefer the crimson because it's brighter. Weber has been trying to look for ways to replace their signature red and all reds are going to be compared to the original and scrutinized whether it's brick, crimson, volcano or some other red they invent.
