A quick measurement from bowl to socket shows that the front socket is roughly 3/4" farther from the bowl. I find it curious too that the back legs are stamped with the numeral 6. Could this mean they are for a 6" wheel?
Hmmm....whomever set up the leg socket spot weld station must has messed up.
Wonder how many units made it into the wild with the mistake ?
As stated, shortening the front leg to match the rear would be the fix.
The "6" must be a manufacturing mark.
Although if a 26er uses larger than 1" O.D. legs, it might designate "26" so the sockets don't get mixed up with standard sockets.Would not affect wheel size.
Edit:
Ah, I see that is the bottom of a rear leg.
Would have to designate that ("this leg is for a 26")....not wheel size.
