New to me Blue SS Performer (stretched out, limo style)!

So I seen that JCNAZ posted on the trading section a local blue SS pefromer, after thinking about it and weighing the con sequence of getting it (girlfriend said slow down on acquiring grills and the smoker you want). I decided go for it. Anyways meet with the seller able to hagle some with them on the price so I take it home. It isn't perfect and needs work.<---- assembled incorrectly and pretty dirty and some porcelain chips not to big though. Anyways pics that follow are the tear down and clean up.




Now I didn't get pics of me cleaning so we jump to reassemble.
 And something special added.






A lot of runway on that table!!! This is my extension I made to put on my black SS that is in the garage still waiting to be finished.

Also breaking this kettle in tonight with a cook I will post some more pics here. Need it seasoned for the rib roast tomorrow.

Well it cooks good.

It was nice to have gas assist again. Now I gotta get the other performer finished so I can store all the other kettles in the garage. The girlfriend says she will allow two performers on the patio and I can store the other kettles in the garage.

Your extension turned out even better than I had imagined it could. You are on to something big here...wouldn't surprise me if you get a few PM's asking you to build some of these!
You know I love black kettles, but that blue really makes this stand out.

What a great setup.  Very nicely done.  Sometimes I could use a little more room on my Performer.

The table extension is a slide in unit. I made a piece that fits inside both pieces of square tube and is a pretty tight fit. So just slide it in or out and that's it.
