Dutch oven and a weber kettle all in one.
Looks like the lid is a pan.

That's unique.  So the small grate is the charcoal grate and the larger one is the cooking grate?  Am I missing something?  Where does the vent looking thing go?

The Cook N Kettle has been restored.  Not bad for a 60+ year old barbecue cooker...

Nice job again Harris. Does anyone know if those ever came with some sort of ash pan?

* I soaked the lid and body for 6 hours in a mixture of water and white vinegar to remove any rust.
* I then rinsed with water
* The lid also serves as a cast iron skillet. I seasoned it like any cast iron skillet.  I coated in vegetable shortening and put in a 350 degree oven for 2 hours.  I repeated this process 3 times.
* I seasoned the body too.
* I painted the cart and outside of the body with VHT Flameproof High Heat Coating.
* Did not touch the lid (skillet) with any type of paint.

That is very cool Stephen!
I had never heard of the Cook N Kettle before joining here. Now it and a vintage Hasty-Bake have become my grails.:)
