This one has seen better days.  Time for a detailed cleaning and put "her" back in service.  She has plenty of life left...

Jeff

Poor girl.  Glad you rescued that grill Harris, that's an oldie.  Hoping you can put it back into "service"!!!
Kettle collector AND cooker!

That is beautiful!  What a great color!  Can't wait to see pics after the restore is over!  Where did you come across this?

Sorry about that.  It belongs to a buddy.  I did not want to see the grill continue to rust.  I offered to clean it up.  It will be a slow but fun job.   :)

that looks like a fun project! Hey Stephen, if you get backed up with all these rescues, you can send some my way...  ;D

Awesome grill!  Let your buddy know AZ would be a beautiful place for that grill to live out the rest of it's life!  No more rusting here!

Harris, please don't remove the orange patina on the bowl, that's what makes it special.  ;)

Wow! These Imperials blues are growing on me more and more all the time. Makes me want to do another throwback cook and this time dress the part. Nice save!

My dado with metal handles had those rust streaks from the steel stove bolts used to hold the handles on.

You're a better man than I am, Harris.  If my friend had that grill, I'd tell him how wonderful the one-touch cleaning system is and swap him one of my black OTS's.
