Leave it "au naturale" or try to touch up the chipped areas?  Im leaning towards leaving it be.  The legs, white walls, and twist ash pan will be assembled after another bath.

Jeff

When did you get this one??
Well are you planning on cooking on it?  Im sure there is no sort of high temp paint in that color, but if you want it to be a "looker", then maybe touch-up is the way to go?

Earlier this summer.  I would normally pass on one with this many battle scars but I havent seen any limeys around here, much less an 18 with metal handles.

Nice find! I would make it a looker and touch it up. Which is really rare for me to say, but it's really beat up. You have a nice collection going and I would add this to it. You don't see many lime 18's and you may never find another. Cook on another grill. ;)

Jeff

Yeah...it is a nice find regardless.  I do know of another lime 18 like yours up in northern wisconsin.  Its in similar condition to yours as well.

You could have some 'arts and crafts' time and make quite a planter!  ;D ::) In all seriousness, is it going to be a 'cooker' or a 'looker'? If the latter, I say touch it up, get a new handle and make it a museum piece. Limes seem harder to come by than avocados.  ;) Nice Score!
