CB Stacker: I want to know about it.
« on: August 27, 2013, 05:13:30 PM »
I know some of you have the Kettle Stacker from Cajun Bandit.  Maybe Troy, swamp, and a couple others?  For clarity, I am talking about the stacker for kettles that  is taller than the rotisserie, has no door, and is shorter than the CB full conversion.

A few questions:
- Is the seal tight? Is it tighter than the weber roti?
- How tall is the ring?
- By default are there two grate positions, at top and bottom of ring? How hard would it be to add/move one of those to the middle of the ring?

And lastly ........
- Am I CRAZY for considering buying one, and then drilling and mounting a roti to it if I decide to roti cook down the line?

Long story short I am getting rid of some WSMs and want to try my hanbd at more large cut kettle smoking, low and slow style. I think this ring is actually just what I am looking for, but I would really like a grate positioned where the middle is.  Plus, although I do not use a roti now, I MIGHT at some future juncture and thing a roti mod to the stacker may be feasible.  Thoughts?
