Extra Help With Charcoal Choices...............
« on: August 07, 2013, 06:24:20 PM »
Don't think I've told this story here yet.....so............

After doin' low & slow kettle cooks for awhile, I've been using less regular Kingsford....
(Suppose I've just listened to reason of the folks who've been doin' this awhile...)
I still use it for quite a few items, but not for the long overnighters....
That job falls, usually, to Stubb's briquettes & Wicked Good lump...

The dogs somehow seem to intrinsically understand this:

Pics, meaning, it happened....

The general area ~~>
(Stubb's on the left,Kingsford in the middle & Wicked up by the bench on the right...

Above pic is Molly Malone & this next one is Bruno, also known as the "The Culprit"

The crime ~~~>

He only peed on the Kingsford....
& when I called him on him on this, he responded by announcing loudly that he preferred
the other two brands ~~~>

There is a urban myth that if you store charcoal after it gets wet/peed on it with spontaneously combust. I am pretty sure it with not blow up your garage having been whizzed upon......although it may impart a flavor in your bbq that while unique may be something to avoid. ::)
If it needs to be Heated to be Eated, I can do it on my Weber!

Luckily, he goes quick & lite......not even enough to soak thru the bag & achive that "unique whizzed upon" flavor............he knows better, but just, for some reason, thinks he must......

Just like us buyin' extra Webers, I guess........ 8)

I don't know about pork, but most dogs know a thing or two about snausages.

With the toilet seat in the middle of your grilling area I might have been a little bit confused myself as to what I should be peein on..
The Weber is making it really hard to screw up dinner
