Managed to clean up the brownie that I rescued from the Weber graveyard that I visited a few weeks back. Turns out it was a G not a C (noticed after cleaning the vent) which explains the one touch sweepers. It was in a pretty sorry state, bowl and lid covered in paint and with heavily pitted bent legs and rusty triangle and I almost left it there.

I zinc coated the legs as even with a lot of sanding I couldn't get the pitting out , and the triangle I just rubbed down and sprayed with black enamel, looks quite cool, almost like texture paint. Wanted to add the ash catcher as I'll be using this one and It's more convenient than the twist on pan.

Has some beauty marks but that's fine, glad to have been able to rescue this one.

Wow, nice transformation!  I love the brownies..... gave one to my son a few Christmases ago - F code that came from California.  Here's a few shots of it and a shot of it in the Weber room before it became our granddaughter's room.

Cheers!

What a collection! Your brownie is in great nick, and love those custom wheel inserts!

Thanks I'm happy with it, almost makes me want to shift this one on as to clear some head/garden space, but I'm struggling to want to part with any of my grills

That is a very common struggle, I believe.
Personally, I struggled with it years ago but when I know that a kettle is going to a good home, then it's not so bad. In 2020, I parted with 8 grills, one of which was a redhead Genesis Jr. That was tough but it was also necessary. They were taking up too much space!  :o  ;)
