I was gifted a new Ivory Master Touch. When I took pictures upon completion, I noticed the lid doesn't fit perfectly and has a chip at the rim of the lid. The shipping box also showed a bit of damage. I don't think I damaged the lid when setting up but not 100% sure. Does anyone have experience navigating the process of getting a replacement?

Gifted with no receipt could be difficult, but I'd try logging into your Weber account (or create one on their site) and registering the grill.  Give it a little bit of time and call in for a damage claim.  In the meantime you can see where the lid binds and give it a little hug on the opposing 45 degrees.  In other words if the lid binds at 12 and 6, give it a little hug at 9 and 3.  Hope that makes sense.  Could be that the bowl is out of round.  Get a measuring tape and go around the circumference of both lid and bowl where they meet and see which one if out of round.

Good luck!

If you don't get satisfactory results after calling Weber the first time, call back again a day or two later.  I've had varying results on claims and purchases.  I can cite two recent examples.  One time I called and politely asked if I could get the cast iron grates on my gasser that was out of warranty replaced due to rust and delamination.  The first time I got denied, but the second time I was successful, and they even covered shipping.  The second example is when I called to purchase an accessory, where I asked for a discount because I felt that it was way over priced.  The first time I was told no, but the second time I was given a 31% discount.  Why 31%?  I have no idea, but I made the purchase.  Persistence does pay off sometimes.

Weber has an excellent reputation for warranty issues. I found a Q grill at a scrap metal drop off about 5 years ago and gave it to my neighbor last year. He called Weber to locate the regulator for it and in the end they shipped him the regulator and burner for free.
