Weber Philanthropy…
« on: August 09, 2023, 06:28:58 PM »
Trying to create new conversations or threads..

Ask you all to share what you have given away to help other members, friends, family or just someone in the world!

Post a pick of what was given and/or include a story.

If it works for the group, grate!  If not, it will be an empty thread!  I know this group is giving and humble.

What have you encouraged someone with?
Anything from a cover to a corvette!

I’ll kick it off with something simple….Yellow 70th Anniversary bottom bowl. Not necessarily philanthropy but given to others.

I gifted this to a deserving collection and great friend. I try and help anyone who needs it when I can.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

I gave a green 22” kettle to an island friend as a house warming gift.

He likes the color of money, so it was only appropriate to give him a green kettle.

No pics….. all my kids have been given Webers of some form - multiple models.  Have sent Weber kettles to distant family members that I’ve only met via social media and sent a 22” kettle to my niece and her husband last week that just moved from Boise Idaho to Leeds AL last week.  Gotta spread the love!  I have to say, the most fun to be had in this hobby is not to attain the perfect vintage grill, but rather to spread the grilling love and make some pretty great relationships with people of similar interests.  I’m still working on my older brother who is a convenience guy…. At the family cookout with the ‘75 Aristocrat present he actually said he might need to consider charcoal cooking…. He’s 15 years my senior and at 70 I think it’s time for me to just send him a kettle and a bag of coals.  Nature might take its course.
