I love my new performer, but one thing I wish it had was a place to hang the grate when you remove it.

I haven't really found a good place yet and was just thinking you guys seem pretty handy and have some rather creative ideas, so before I go drilling into my table or something, I figured I'd ask.

Thanks in advance!

My SS Performer has a hook at the end opposite the kettle. Is this missing from the newer ones?

Other than that, I have a couple nails in the garage that I hang grates on for convenient storage.
kettles, smokers...

Upon further reading, seems there is a slot on the back side to hang the grate... should have known Weber would have thought of this. :)

Yup, not as elegant as the SS IMHO, but functional.

Thanks!

Yep, that'll work just fine... does seem like an odd location however.

Woah, I never noticed that before. I always hang mine on the center upright support on the lid bail.

Glad I'm not the only one.  ;D

Maybe I'll go home and read the manual...  ???

I do the same, there is a hook there too.

I use my Char-griller. ::) I use it to hang my wire grate that I never use anymore on it and when I am setting up the grill to start a cook I set my Craycort on the grill until after I get my charcoal in the Weber.....I guess I have been wrong in all my other posts....I have been using my Char-griller for every cook since I got my Weber . ::) ::) ::)
If it needs to be Heated to be Eated, I can do it on my Weber!
