In the not so distant future I may be thinning the herd by one.  The one will come from this group.  I need help from the experts.  From this group - which one and why?  It is going to be a terribly hard decision.  I can't keep 'em all.

left to right

'58 Wood Dale - excellent condition. I do have a set of vintage wheels on the way for mix and match :)
Patent Pending Avocado - Also in excellent condition.  One of the nicest avocados I have seen
73 Statesman - just beautiful.  Nothing more to say.

If you don't mind my asking....Why are you thinning out your collection, you just got these.  ???

Well, knowing my past record I will be adding more in the future. I just keep on seeing more and more I like.  Sooner or later I will slow down though :).  With that mentioned, if I do continue to add I will have to eventually thin by at least one.   I never intended to keep all of  'em forever.  I like looking at them and appreciating them for what they are (and hopefully let the next collector enjoy down the road).

For rarity I would keep that black one with the perpendicular vent. But it's really discrete and not showy except to the weber aficionado. The Cado is probably the rarest color of the three but I think it's dated looking and not as cool as the red. Red is the flashiest and nicest imo but probably the least rare in terms of color. I don't know the rarity of color with metal side handles but those are more common than the metal top handle. Whatever you decide to do I hope it goes to a good home.

I love the avocado kettles in all their dated late 60s-early 70s glory. That one is nice!

Edit: for the record they are all sweet! Tough decision no doubt....

Keep the wood dale.

Flip a coin between the cado and the redhead.

When the coin is in the air, you'll know which one you want to keep.   ;)

The Red's fuckin' perfect.....Keep it !!!!

( I use strong language for emphasis....)

Out of the other two, the avacado might be easiest to sell.....this is a tough question....... :o

It is just compromise in a marriage I guess.  My wife has been very patient for the last few years.  It started off with acquiring and restoring vintage Oklahoma Joe's smokers and now to Weber grills.  I thinned out the Joe's and I probably need to throw an olive branch with a weber.  She has been a trooper...arrival after arrival after arrival..... ;)

Red Kettle Rich

I would love to have the 'cado but for reasons of Domestic Harmony, I'll pass  >:(

In my opinion and on MY wish list is the 'Cado" There are soooooo few out here, especially in that beautiful of shape ! Now If I lived in Cali, they are a dime a dozen, but still not in that good of shape. Now the reason being you should thin the herd with the cado is that the Wood dale is, well, a Wood dale ! The Red is just down right gorgeous, and the Cado, well, to be blunt, I really really want it !!! Don't care about price. To me, that is my Holy Grail.
Duke told me to be patient and eventually one would show up.....is this the one????  ::)

Ken
Lookin' for a flat top 26"( not black)

Keep the wood dale.

But flip the triangle around.
