New Grill Day!

Oh boy, it's on the truck right now sloshing through the ice and snow and hopefully not delayed by weather for another day. Hope it's not damaged in shipping. I already have my ribs ready and waiting in the fridge! Going to alter my rub, charcoal and smoke for a little out of my wheelhouse rib flavor, wish me luck.

I'll get some pic's up later when the real fun starts happening.

Alright..... it's here, and the box doesn't look too bad. Probably not damaged in shipping but what's the odds I'll have factory flaws?

It doesn't really matter to me a lot. It'll be red and it's supposed to change color when it's spitting fire so there's a real good chance I'll be happy with it.

I'll be smoking with Cherry wood on this baby, fitting for the color on the first cook but have never tried it before. Any tips for time and intensity of smoke? My three normal flavors are Hickory, Mesquite, and Apple for reference. Thanks all.

Cool!  I second, you will love it.  If you've been around here very long, you know I love mine and use it a lot for all kinds of cooks.  Let the grilling begin!

I'm pretty green to this place, barely made it in before the cutoff. Been grilling on Weber's for a while though. When I found out this changed colors like my buddies old one, that sealed the deal!

I've got a picture somewhere that illustrates the red going to a much deeper shade when I was cooking pizza.  I'll try and find it...

She definitely darkens up when she’s hot.... before and during shots.  Anyway..... have fun!

My new kettle is enroute for delivery next week. It's not a limited edition like that beauty but still can't wait.
Too bad it's so cold right now in Canada but it gives me something to look forward to.
