Bought a used Ranch today

Facebook Marketplace for $750.  It is in great shape except for a dent with missing enamel on the lid and one spot around the rim of the lid with some bending and slight rust.  It came with two sets of grates, the originals, and a brand new set still in the boxes.

What is the best way to "repair" the dent and the rim of the lid?

Congrats on the Ranch!   I’d suggest some non-gentle persuasion with a rubber mallet first.  See if that works.  Come back to group if it doesn’t.  The extra new grates really sweeten the deal!

I probably would have passed if not for the new grates.  On Webers site the two grates are listed at $416.00 making the price for the Ranch grill a whopping $334.

Good purchase? There was one listed on my san diego offer up for $750 a few days ago as well. Sold fast!
