It does have spin lines, pretty cool to see, I only can really see them on the bottom, not much on the lid

Someone pointed out that the new glen blue might have spin lines? Has anyone looked closely to see if that is the case?

It's killing me too but my wife actually bought this one. We were in the pool and she randomly stumbled upon it the day it came out.

I have to wait until after dinner now

Congrats on receiving the new glen blue! Was the box visibly damaged anywhere?

That's the funniest part. The box was not damaged at all. The handle was inserted in the corner cardboard support like it should be. I meant to check if the missing porcelain was in the box.

There's not even a dent in the inside packaging.

My wife has spotted at least two on her Facebook kettle club that had damage by the handle. It's not a defect but it's actually bent somehow and the porcelain chipped off.

More than one?

@bladz loves those Taco handles so much he couldn't just have one.  ;D

Btw, I do only have one.  I was in contact with a friend when they became available again.  My friend asked if I could order one since I was already logged in and had the screen up. So I helped him out.

What's the significance with spin lines?

What's the significance with spin lines?
Back in the day, when the bowls were made, the steel disc was put on something like a lathe, It spun around and a tool basically pushed the steel disc into the shape.

Now basically they stick the piece of steel into a die and stamp it into the bowl or lid shape.

@getlego Looks like you'll be getting a 2nd bowl!

Love the spin lines and the retro wheels, which is what I plan for mine.

Got mine but I think I have some issues.  See if you guys think I should be contacting Weber.  Paint issues and handle is not even.

I'd get a replacement.  That's not really worthy of your $400 imho.  The lack of blue inside a leg socket or on the handle is actually fairly normal, even on older kettles.  The drip line off the handle and chips on the ash bucket tabs are just bad quality control to me.
