Hi kettle clubbers
I am in the R&D stage of building my very own imperial sequoia
do they have doors on both sides? never seen a package of pics from the same one with reverse angle
some seem to be kettle on left and some kettle on right im thinking doors both sides cause surely they didnt make them both ways
what colours did the kettle come in? Two tone brown, red and .......
what dia wheels?
what is the timber sizes and even a template of the trolley handles would be great
is the timber like a cedar or is it more like a pine?
wood really like to see everyone with a sequoia post multible pics here and dimensions please
close up pics of the door hinges and handles would be awsum

Hey there Golly
The doors ARE on both sides.  The colors the Sequoia came in are avacado, red, brown (two tone), and black.  The wheels are 8"

I had the two tone brown sequoia.  Ill try and get some pics up in the near future.  Dealing with a few things on my end here.

Thanks for the well wishes Golly.  I think us Sequoia owners are certainly in the minority...thats the problem.  Any other specific pics you'd like other than what you mentioned?

Alright Golly.  Sorry these pics took so long.

Here is a link to them all...there's quite a few, so I didn't want to post them all here.

So the table length is 42"
The table width is      28"
The length of a each door is 17.5"
The height of each door is     14.25"

All boards are 3 3/8" wide and are .75" thick

Just let me know what other measurements would be helpful and I'll get them for you.

Jeff, thanks for showing those pics, I had no idea how the ash pan was mounted that way and often wondered how the bowl was mounted, it looks amazing. Hard to believe this is from the same company that makes kettles today.
Golly, hope the construction goes well. That will be a really cool looking grill when completed. Since it's a Sequoia, will you use redwood ;) ?

Golly

thanks jeff
thats a really good set of detailed photos
redwood might be a little hard to source over here we will have to wait and see whats available
just gotta convert your measurements to english (mm) lol
it changed to metric in 1966 in oz so thats way before my time 25.4mm = 1 inch

I'm thinking I need to do a modern sequoia.  Use a new one touch gold with a wood cart.

Hey Jeff, How long is the cart from the end of each handle.  The extreme overall length....
