I don't know if you guys are familiar with Myron Mixon, world renown BBQ Grand Champion.....he swears by lighter fluid...I guess if it's good enough for Myron, it's good enough for anyone.....

Myron is an ass! Oh, thats where you get it from.. 8)

I just thought of something.. yeah, I know, I smell it tooo..
But wait, can you imagine Brian getting pulled over.. What would the cop say? "Son, do you know why I pulled you over?"  Brian, "No sir, speeding?"
Cop, "No, illegal transportation of a Happy Cooker across county lines." Brain, "Ya want it?"
Cop, "Hell no, move along." Brian, "Damn it!"  8)

Lawrence, many thanks for all of the pictures. I know how much work that can be, both at the event and then later. When all of us are decompressing, your work has only begun. I know a number of us have already thanked you and you can rest assured that anyone who understands the work involved really appreciates your efforts.

Did that Photophucket instruction manual help with the way you wanted to load things up & transfer?

I'm a fan of him! He's no nonsense and knows his stuff. I get a kick out of his attitude.

I just finished processing the pics. Hold on to your hats, Ladies! This upload is gonna be Legen- wait for it -dary!  ;D

I need a faster computer.  ::) Stupid thing is really slow with this many pics!

Most of this pics were shot on a different camera with a wide angle lens. It was the only way to catch all the awesomeness going on. My goal was to make you feel like you were there and get the full WKC experience. So enjoy!

So it was raining most of that morning but as we started arriving it went to a light drizzle and then cleared up an hour or two later.

I came first in the Ranch Utility Vehicle. I had to drop off the Happy Cooker before Brian got there! Brian had to make two trips with his van to bring all his kettles. Here's how he rolls.

Jeff isn't amused that Brian hasn't cleaned any of his grills and will photobomb his pristine grill pics. Brian asked G for help, and G gives this look like "Are you kiddin' me man? I got my own kettles to unload, and unlike yours they won't get me dirty!"

Back of Brian's van.

Grills on grills on grills.

Meet Grandpa.

But wait, there's more!

But wait, call now and get even more!

Not to be outdone, G knows how to pack a truck too. He had 4 more or so in the back, but he unloaded them before I got to take a pic.

At this point the neighbors are like, WTF is going on over there? Did they rob the Weber factory?

Old Ranch

New Ranch

Weber's poppin' up all over the place!

Troy came a bit later. His car matches his grill. Not one bit surprised!

Jeff's house is like Weber Mecca. Don't look at his grills for too long though, or he will give you the evil eye.

For a while it was only Jeff, me, Brian, and G. These grills are Brian's, G's and my ranch. Jeff's cookers are on the patio and the lookers are still inside.

The lookers. There's a bunch of hotties in here!

But not really because these are the cookers that actually get hot!

The Mastertouch's. All these were fired up soon after.

The crowd arrived hungry!

As more people came, the Kettles started mulitplying.

So, for those long awaited group shots! Did I mention that the kettles began multiplying?

It went from this

To this

To not being able to fit in my camera..... here are the full sizers.

and the mini-me's

a Kettle family picture

and one hell of a panorama- Kudos to "Chasing Smoke" for stitching the pic is photoshop for me! This is a composite picture of 5 pics taken from the ladder! He did a much better job than my in-camera panorama did.

Jeff almost didn't pull out many of his grills. But luckily some WKC members beat some sense into him! He started running around grabbing all his kettles saying "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!!!!!" True story!

I can't stress enough how much fun I had at this event meeting everyone, eating delicious food, and perving Vintage kettles!!! Thanks so much to the founders of WKC for building the club and community. Thank you Jeff and his beautiful wife Jean for inspiring us all with your collection and for your being such great hosts! And finally thanks Glrasmussen, ChadA, AJ, and Duke for bringing some HAPPINESS to Brian's life!
